1. McCuckoo just lost 1%.
Probably way more than enough.

2. Errr...you might be surprised. I think he just might get quite a bit more than 1%
of the Pubs in Nov. Of course, the scary part is that he could also pull some indies. Bob sounds a lot more reasonable now than he did when he was in the Senate. I know. I live in Ga. He's still pretty nuts, but he really slams Shrubco, and he's no fan of McNut either.

5. McCuckoo has no chance.
None.

With or without Bob Barr.

I'd prefer that Obama kick his ass one-on-one so the wingers can't bitch.

14. Don't EVER underestimate the evilness of the Pugs!
I can only thank God that November is only 6 months away! I don't think any of us can even imagine what kind of crap they will come up with on Barack or any other Dem! You are foolish to ever think McNut can't win.

4. Why do you think that?
Seriously? Why?

When has a fringe candidate come close to that? Perot did OK, but he ran in the middle - between the two parties. I can't see any campaign running on the outside getting more than 2%, tops, and that's generous.

8. Bob Barr is a fairly highly respected
Fiscal Conservative, doesn't fall into the kooky pot of Evangelicals, and social issues.

I imagine the Ron Paul crowd will get the gumption to make the switch, and he'll easily push out Gravel for the party.

16. There really are quite a few Pubs who are upset with Shrub & what he's done.
I honestly think Bob can garner a lot more than the 2% you mention.

19. Wha?
I think he's a bit kooky:

In Congress, he also controversially proposed that the Pentagon ban the practice of Wicca in the military.

17. He's announced that he's seeking the Libertarian nomination;
he's considered the front-runner for the nomination, which will be decided later this month. Assuming he gets it, he'll be running.

20. NO
He's actually worked against medicinal marijuana use:

There is no legitimate use whatsoever for marijuana. This is not medicine. This is bogus witchcraft. It has no place in medicine, no place in pain relief... ”

18. Don't laugh! Have you heard him on Thom Hartmann's show?
He's decent at political debate and he's fairly intelligent, even if he has some reprhensible policy positions.

He will take, at a minimum, FIVE PERCENT from McCain. He will help us out tremendously in the South.

22. You are naive
Barr won't even get the L nomination. He is a war on drugs guy and is opposed to several other L positions. Whoever the L nominee is they don't have any money and will only be the ballot in a few states. No one, other than political bloggers, will notice them.
