So what the fuck is Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski thinking - at McCain event?
http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0508/Oregon_Dem_governor_appears_at_McCain_enviornment_event.html

Appearing, but not speaking, at McCain's climate change speech today: Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski (D)

It's not uncommon for state officials to greet national dignitaries from other parties, but it usually takes place on trips of official business. That Kulongoski would show up for not just a campaign event but for a speech designed to burnish McCain's appeal in the Pacific Northwest to Democrats and indepenents is striking.

McCain, naturally, took the chance to salute Kulongoski, calling him "a great governor of this state," and to underscore his bi-partisan creds.

"I appreciate his leadership, I appreciate his dedication, no matter what his party identification is to the betterment of the state of Oregon and America," McCain said. "As as president of the United States, I will sit down with Gov Ted Kulongoski and all of the other governors of this country, whether they be Democrat or Republican.

6. Ted has proven to be a strange egg
My guess is that he's hedging his bets, but that doesn't make his enabling of McCain any less appalling.
