Let's see...Howard Dean is crazy for pointing out the political
aspect of the "terror" situation, yet Chimpy sends his wife and two daughters to campaign IN ONE OF THE TARGETS OF THE ATTACK.

And the talking heads still push the fact that Dean is out of line.

How stupid do they think we are?!

1. I love that the stupid media keeps playing Dean telling it like it is.
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 05:46 PM by mzmolly
Bush should think twice before using this again after Dean's comments? ;)

I also wonder WHY NO ONE has pointed out that "IF WERE SAFER BECAUSE OF BUSH, WHY ALL THE FRIGGIN TERROR WARNINGS" ?

2. I'm so glad Kerry stood up for Dean today. He said that
his opinion is different from Dean's, but that he values Dean. (And God only knows what the media told Kerry that Dean said.)

The cable media then spun that one as "Kerry distancing himself from Dean."

3. I noticed that. They'd love to create a rift where none exists.
Kerry said he speaks to Dean regularilly and for longish periods of time. He said Dean is a surrogate and he'd like him to remain so.

I hope those guys are prepared for the medias intention to divide us?

25. I think they are, yes. One thing that has impressed me
so far about the Kerry/Edwards campaign is that it's very organized. They'll recognize this kind of thing for trash that it is.

4. I saw 3 shows having discussion on the topic.
So that is a good thing. Judy Woodruff had good footage of Dean, Abrams covered it, and Holt as much as implied he agreed.

Before no one was even talking about it. He has gotten about 30,000 in donations today, too. More than usual.

8. Only a little over 3000 to reach the quarter million mark.
That is about what they need to do to contribute to the candidates and pay the staff. They have done this twice this year, plus another large bat for grassroots training.

This will be in less than a week.

9. We'll be absolutely blessed if this guy keeps it up.
He has both the ancestry and the attitude. He's a northern American rebel.

GO HOWARD DEAN! Keep supporting Kerry/Edwards!

10. Whoopee, just hit the mark with the bat.
http://www.blogforamerica.com/

We are lucky to have him around. Looks like even Scarborough is questioning the alert now. Olbermann, Holt, and others now. Looks like Drudge is debunking the evidence.

Ok, I can't resist it.

Did they mention Chimpy's family as campaigning for him at the center of the supposed attacks?

15. Actually just after 10.
It was up another 7,000 by 11:00. I think it is great. I think he estimated they need at least 3 million a year to have the money for candidates and staff and some travel to rallies. I think some speeches he does are paid speeches.

family was in NYC until a few minutes ago and I still thought the {{{{ALERTS}}}} were bogus and so did everyone I talked to today in upstate New York!

And what do you think NYC People are thinking about all this? They were Pissed at bush before these fake alerts. I heard Bloomberg came on tv yesterday looking pretty pissed himself and saying something about.."you don't know what to believe!"

Headline:

Reports That Led to Terror Alert Were Years Old, Officials Say

WASHINGTON, Aug. 2 -Much of the information that led the authorities to raise the terror alert at several large financial institutions in the New York City and Washington areas was three or four years old, intelligence and law enforcement officials said on Monday. They reported that they had not yet found concrete evidence that a terrorist plot or preparatory surveillance operations were still under way.

<snip>

Frances Fragos Townsend, the White House homeland security adviser, said on Monday in an interview on PBS that surveillance reports, apparently collected by Qaeda operatives had been "gathered in 2000 and 2001.'' But she added that information may have been updated as recently as January.

21. Very good article--will it make cable news?
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 05:38 AM by bklyncowgirl
Yes, Al Queda was plotting to blow up these buildings but there's no evidence to show that an attack was imminent.

Laura and the girls were in NY to praise all those brave Citicorps workers for going to work under the threat of a terrorist attack.

Maybe Mayor Bloomberg can submit a bill for the police overtime to the Bush/Cheney reelection fund.

Check out Paul Krugman's column today--he nails them too.

20. The media think we have no...
critical thinking skills. Anybody with a brain should be able to see that what Dr. Dean said is true. The Republicans have been politicizing 9/11 every way they can.

Kerry knows that the Doc says what he believes and believes what he says whether he agrees with it or not. He doesn't try to stifle supporters when they express their own opinions and Kerry values Dean's honesty and outspokenness.

It's politically advantageous for Kerry to let others do the bashing because it make him appear that he's taking the high road.

Dean tells it like it is and that's what most people like about him.
