LET'S HAVE A MORATORIUM TO RACE BAITING ANTI OBAMA THREADS

since he is the nominee. Can we lay off the dogwhistling, the racebaiting, the rationalizations, the regurgitating of Rev. Wright, the apologist justifications of racially tinged remarks, the wink wink he's a black man after all innuendo, the covert and overt bigoted or appeal to bigots threads by clinton supporters?

can we do that, in the interest of harmony? Can we?

unless and until certain posters agree to that, we cannot rebuild burnt bridges.

I"m calling on you to stand up, be responsible adult democrats and get in line to support the nominee.

while we're at it, can we lose the veiled and not so veiled threats to leave the party or vote for McCain? Especially since we suffered false accusations of that very thing, months ago when clinton was the "inevitable" nominee?

OH, I understand, it sucks right now to be a clinton supporter, and I"m willing to do a clean slate and move on, but in looking this morning, I see an INCREASE of these kinds of threads instead of a decrease.

we want you in the party, but there comes a time when you have to stop kneecapping the nominee out of pique or spite.

and that time is now.

3. Let's have a moratorium on threads that lie and distort Clinton's personality, record, very being.
That would be a DU site to see.

9. Do you mean truthiness? Or are you going to start posting the truth
and turn over a new leaf?

7. Part of the problem is that, having been discouraged from discussing
"race" at all as adults, a lot of people have no idea how to do it, let alone, how not to do it.

8. But then Clinton supporters - as admirable as they are - would have nothing to talk about.

10. It's not gonna happen because it is all they got
and you want to know what else is sad: the admin should be asking for the race baiting, the blatant racism, the cult threads and so on to end. I see they are allowed to continue on with their crap because they did not win. I also notice that we on the other side are suppose to ignore it and put up with it because Obama essentially won. I don't understand this as this is suppose to be a progressive site that should not tolerate race baiting, racism, and calling the majority of the dem party cultist because their candidate didn't make the cut.
