4. Kerry & Edwards really aren't going to have to "move to the center"

That's because we're already there.

The current administration is so far to the right, Nixon looks liberal in comparison. All we must do is stay fairly close to the center and we can take everyone except the single-issue voters the Republicans have tied up.

We're not getting the Lafferites. Bush has everyone who thinks Arthur Laffer is God. Unfortunately for Bush, by now even Arthur Laffer is convinced his theories don't work in the real world.

We're not getting the gay-bashers. If you hate "faggots" you're a Bush man through and through.

The "if the mother dies, it's God's will" anti-abortion zealots are Bush voters too.

Here's Bush's problem: he's been such a miserable failure, the people who would vote for him because of the one issue they support may not vote for him because of all the other shit he's fucked up, leaving the Timothy LaHaye types who really want him to destroy the world as his base.
