She has well over 10 million dollars, in money set aside just for just the G.E.. If she doesn't win the nomination or is on the ticket, those checks get sent back to the donors. Why can't hillary and obama appeal to some of these donors, who have already allocated the money from their budgets to simply send the checks back to whatever fundraising operation/drive is set up to help hillary get out of debt. That way those who have allocated the money to her already will just redirect it to another source, and the donor base of obama's/hillary who haven't already contributed to the G.E. fund won't have to make additional allocations from their budgets if they want help fund obama's efforts. Part of the challenge will be in getting them to mail these checks, but I'm thinking that if they supported hillary maybe they are also sympathetic to her plight and want to help. What do you guys think? Would this be legal?
