And he's impartial. He slams Dems and Reps equally.

11. Hillary may not be a racist, but she has been one for certain people
and for others she has been blue color and others she has been a pennsylvania born and bread down homer and others an abused wife and others a corporate figurehead and others an executive elitist.

There used to be a time you could tell people you were one of each of those groups individually to the exclusion of the other finding out, everybody can see you say it in this day and age and it is that flip pandering that has cost her and why most of her supporters jump to her defense because they only see one hillary they identify with and lock in on.

Therefore she cant be what others say she is, shes not that to me.

Thats why shes loosing, no one knows who she is.

Perhaps we've finally come to a time when politicians will have to be authentic.

3. Well
that cartoon is a horrible caricature of what she said, but do you disagree that a dem candidate has to do well with white voters to win?

7. Well

Obama is doing extremely well with white voters. And she knew damned well exactly what kind of racist crap she was spewing.

19. According to that AP article, she does.
However, without analyzing those statistics, and comparing them to other states, it's hard to see how it makes much difference at this point.

21. So you haven't bothered
to check out the actual argument she's making, and instead, just jumped on the "she's a racist!" bandwagon?

22. I know what argument she's making.
The fact is it doesn't matter. He has won.

I never said "she's a racist!"... most people here have not. That's just a sad, tired strawman that is used to avoid admitting that her campaign's latest tactic is to appeal to racist voters, or to try to convince the SDs that racist voters will not vote for Obama, so they should support her.

23. Actually, what she said is also factually incorrect.
Her claim that Obama's support was weakening among whites and those without college degrees is not correct.

To support her argument, she used AP-Yahoo polling data from May 3rd, rather than more current and accurate exit polling data from NC and IN.

If you look at the exit poll data, Obama's support among those groups has increased since OH and PA.

TX OH MS PA IN NC

White 44 34 26 37 40 37
No College 42 40 58 42 46 56
College Grad 55 51 62 49 50 57
Over $50K 51 47 52 45 49 60
Under $50K 47 42 66 46 50 54

26. Thank you!
That is exactly what I meant about needing to analyze the numbers she was using.

This isn't the first time she's chosen to use numbers that weren't the most recent, in order to bolster her image in the press.

31. so you're faulting her for not using the polling data
YOU want? She was using real polling data, and it's silly to say she was wrong just because you can find other polls.

she's making an argument - just like any politician does. The fact is, he's not doing that well with white, working class voters. There's nothing at all wrong with using that fact to make an argument to superdelegates.

35. No, I'm "bothering" to check out the argument she's making, which was your complaint above.
Of course she's going to select any data that supports her case. I would expect nothing less from her.

36. well it's not like it's easy to prove her wrong
she DOES do better with white, working class voters than Obama does. He got 37% of the white vote in NC. He had 44% in TX. So depending on which states you look at, you can argue that he's doing worse.

12. I always hesitate to respond on this issue because the obvious
answer is of course we do, that being said, I think this whole "he can't win them over" meme is bullshit. Of course if you point to the states where he has won the white male vote, you are immediately told "those were bullshit caucus states" (which have never seemed to bother democrats before this election, but I digress), so this argument is pointless until we have a nominee...

34. I'm surrounded
by that voter here in AR, but you have to get whom you can get. As long as the leadership is strong and our base is still liberal I don't believe that there will be any dilution of our belief systems...even so, nothing lasts forever.

One thing Obama has that Kerry didn't...charisma score of 18. As long as he keeps his arms open I think that many will embrace him.
