May 1 - DNC Joe Andrew (IN)
Feb 27 - Rep. John Lewis (GA)
Feb 20 - DNC Dana Redd (NJ)
Feb 15 - DNC Sarah Swisher (IA)
Feb 14 - DNC Christine "Roz" Samuels (NJ)
Feb 14- Switched Rep. David Scott (GA) from Clinton to Obama

Representative Peter DeFazio Endorses Obama

The night's not over as Representative Peter DeFazio (OR-4) endorses Barack Obama.

Clinton's superdelegate lead is now down to 6.5 votes.

Representative Donald Payne (NJ-10) Switches from Clinton to Obama
For the 9th time a superdelegate has pulled their support from Hillary Clinton and endorsed Barack Obama.

YESTERDAY

Yet another busy day for the Democratic Primaries. Definitely not Hillary Clinton's best day of the year.

We had two superdelegate endorsements today.

Rep. Brad Miller (NC) for Obama

Rep. Rick Larsen (WA) for Obama

- Hillary Clinton only leads by 9.5 superdelegate votes... her lowest since before she announced her candidacy.

- Senator Dianne Feinstein announced that she's still for Clinton. "I'm sticking with her, absolutely," she told reporters. "Her strategy is to win this. And she's entitled to her opportunity to try."

1. I'm SOOOO confused....
Obama Now Takes The Lead in Superdelegates Too
May 09, 2008 6:19 AM

ABC News' Karen Travers Reports: For the first time this campaign season, Barack Obama has surpassed Hillary Clinton's support among superdelegates, according to the ABC News delegate estimate.

Sen. Obama, D-Ill., picked up two superdelegates this morning giving him a new metric to tout in addition to his current commanding leads in pledged delegates, popular votes, states won, and money raised.

Rep. Donald Payne, D-N.J., switched his endorsement from Clinton to Obama and Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., endorsed Obama. DeFazio was previously uncommitted.

With these endorsements, Obama has the support of 267 superdelegates and Clinton has 265 superdelegates.

Every news organization's superdelegate count is a little different because it is an imperfect science. Since October 2007, the Political Unit has continuously reached out to the nearly 800 superdelegates to determine their candidate preference. We also reach out regularly to the Obama and Clinton campaigns for their superdelegate lists and work to confirm any that they include on their lists.

They are obsessive.

4. Most have forgotten to subtract conversions, they were only adding them to Obama
So if they were formerly counted for Hillary they werent taking them away from her when they converted to Obama

6. Yeah but it is kind of complicated. Most dont know who the supers are in the numbers, there just
Numbers so Obama gets one add one to his number.

So I know how it happens, doesn't excuse it, but thats why.

7. Did ABC release a list like the NYT did?
I wonder why their count is different from everybody else? It is great news if ABC is right but I wonder what is different about their list.

9. DemConWatch is the ONLY legitimate source on SDs
Seriously, every last one they list thye link to the announcement.

If the endorser does nto make it official, it isn't counted.

ABC News, the Times, and everybody else in the media will use "anonymous sources" to make their counts.

21. He's no longer a Senator
and is not a DNC official.

Only former Presidents, vice Presidents, DNC Chairs, and Speakers of the House retain their Super Delegate status for life.
