SDs are speaking: Obama has netted 15 SD endorsements
over the last four days. He's now trailing Clinton by only 6.5 SD endorsements. Clinton has been losing SD endorsements over the last few days. This is a sure sign that the SDs are not going to let this drag on and on. Obama now needs only 173 delegates to get to 2025, and hillary needs 330.

By the time WV rolls around, Obama will have more SD endorsements than Hillary as well as more pledged delegates and a greater share of the popular vote.

Hillary's behavior since losing big and tying in Indiana, likely hastened her campaign's end.

My guess is that Obama will announce at least another 3-5 SD endorsements today.

This really is over. It's clear who our nominee is.

5. He got reps Payne and DeFazio
Payne defected from Hillary and he got an SD from OK, 3 add ons from IL, an SD from NC, another defector from Hill, and I forget what else. Check out Grantcart's thread.

7. Great to hear DeFazio finally endorsed
We still have 7 SD in Oregon uncommitted including Senator Wyden. My guess is once Obama wins Oregon, he'll pick up those seven automatically.

3. The Hillary people are bombarding the SDs with emails
They are threatening to vote for McCain if they don't either support Clinton or change their support from Obama to Clinton. A SD friend of mine forwarded one email to me. The woman said her entire family, all lifelong Democrats, would all vote for McCain rather than Obama.

So...even if Obama has the most pledged delegates they SDs are supposed to go for Clinton? I see desperation.

I assume SD support will rollout over the next few days and weeks.

8. There was an informal
understanding reached on May 7, that the super delegates would not make a move as a group that would humiliate Clinton. Her campaign indicated that they wanted more time, but would not resort to devisive tactics. Many of the super delegates are aware of her financial crisis, and were willing to give her an opportunity to reduce her loses. However, after her May 8 embracing of the Nixon "southern strategy," it may be necessary for the super delegates to end this.

10. Yes.
I thought the best thing to do was to let her pick how and when she left the race. After yesterday, I thnk that shutting down the remains of her campaign is a better idea.

15. I was gracious on Tuesday....
But, then came the "If we ran like repukes, I'd be the winner" and "hardworking, white America" and Bill saying that we are "raining on HER parade" and slipping the number to clinch to 2208.

I had argued that she could spend the next two weeks using her platform to mend fences, promote unity. I don't know why I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She needs to go.
