Clinton will drop out by June 15

Clinton Will Stay In Through June 15

A senior Clinton campaign official told Lawrence O'Donnell "that there will be a Democratic nominee by June 15. He could not bring himself to say the words 'Hillary will drop out by June 15,' but that is clearly what he meant."

"Everything about our conversation implied that he had already had this reality-based discussion with Hillary. He said the Clinton campaign plan is to collect as many votes and delegates as they can right through June 3, then take no more than a week or so to make their case to the superdelegates."

Meanwhile, Ben Smith notes that Clinton told a crowd in West Virginia that she's in the race "until there's a nominee."

1. I read this slightly different
they're preparing the base

that there will be a Democratic nominee by June 15. He could not bring himself to say the words 'Hillary will drop out by June 15,' but that is clearly what he meant."

There are some statements we have heard, starting last night

"I will work for the democratic nominee of the democratic party."

And for all our collective sakes, I hope I am right

2. On the bright side, Hillary will get much more severe blowback from going negative.
Now that we have a nominee, Hillary will at the least be encouraged to run in a way that's supportive of the Democratic Party.

If she breaks out that kitchen sink and start flinging the poo, she will be perceived as and accused of running a divisive campaign and sabotaging the probable nominee - there will be much more serious blowback than what she's already been hit with.

Expect things to cool down between Hillary and Obama.

4. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE other than "a Clinton" would be ***TOAST***
How much SLACK are we required to cut HRC?

She will use this time to trash both OUR PARTY and OBAMA.

Does anyone truly believe that HRC will now "take the high road?" :(

5. So maybe she's just running up her debt
So she can cost Obama tens of millions. I know its a cynical view but it would surprise me in the least.
