I just can't vote for Obama.
His candidacy is damaged. The party is damaged because Clinton hasn't dropped out yet.

Nope, I can't vote for him. And neither will all the new and young voters that Obama has brought into the process. They will never vote for him now. That darn Clinton.

I mean, if Clinton had dropped out on Feb. 6, Obama totally would've been my guy. But not now. Damaged. The party is ruined.

:sarcasm:

Don't buy that hype please. The party is not damaged at all. We will do just fine. Bill Clinton didn't earn the nod until June and he went on to win the White House.

Relax. The supers will do the right thing. Howard Dean and the DNC will do the right thing. Obama will be the nominee. Even the M$M has finally all agreed on that.

And let Clinton stay in until June. Let all the people vote. It's only another few weeks.

And finally, there's no need to continue the hate. We are closing in on having an official nominee. We need to work very hard to get that nominee elected in November. Name-calling and insults don't get anything accomplished.

If people want to continue to donate to Clinton, fine, let them. It's their money. We shouldn't condemn them for what they choose to do with their money and resources. She ran a fierce campaign. She is indeed a fighter. I haven't agreed with some of her tactics but her passion was unmistakable.

I am still not a huge Obama fan. But the people have spoken and he will be our nominee. I will do what I can to get him elected in November and I hope that my fellow democrats join me.

:hi:

They dont mean "damaged to other Democrats"
That means damaged to independants who might otherwise have voted for the Democrat in the GE.

8. Obama brought this on himself.
His scandal with Refko is suspect wihtout Rev. Wright.

All of a sudden there's a rush to bring the Refko trial to a quick conclusion. Wonder why that is? The election maybe?

Fitzgerald never went after Hastert for his land fraud. Might these legal problems of politicans are being covered?

Voting independent instead of Democratic looks pretty attractive if only there were a good candidate. There are only more Republicans acting like a different party.

13. Voting independent is a bad idea regardless of the candidate.
Remember the Supreme Court.

14. The name is Rezco, not Refco
Honestly, if you do not know the name, how credible are you when discussing the case?

20. Don't believe me. REZCO is the right name. Sorry my
typing is wrong "F" instead of "Z". Obama's involvement is there. I live in his district near Chicago that's why I know about it.

Believe this...

http://digitalartpress.wordpress.com/2008/03/15/obama-and-rezco-uncovered-ties/

No way will I vote for him...EVER. He is a Republican and a globalist (along with a theocracy type ruler). A Modern Fascist no matter what he says.

And you made the "mistake" more than once.

As for Rezco....I let the trial sort the facts. That is what they are for.

I live near the Budweiser plant...does that mean I know how to make beer?

28. No, you do not know the name, and when called on it, hid behind a typo
So, yes, I am calling you a liar. Lying to make yourself look like an expert....your rationalization for your expertise? That you live near Chicago. That gives you absolutely no extra insight into Rezco, and you know it.

And my expectations are that DUers actually use facts when presenting arguments, especially seemingly bat-shit crazy ones like yours.

Not only is your typing wrong, so is your characterization of Senator Obama.

29. Who owns digital press?
Edited on Thu May-08-08 11:46 AM by genna
I know there is SPIN and then there are facts.

Most of the stuff on this site is beyond the pale.

I am tired of the Republican Spin Cycle coming into the Democratic party primary process. If you want to spread rumor, press inuendo, THEN cite the legal case no. or give us a transcript from the court reporter, gather together Federal Election filings where people can be prosecuted for violating, and give the rest of your original source material.

Slander and libel are still punishable by law in the U.S.

These allegations are libelous especially when there are no facts to support it.

2. you honsetly don't see the damage?
sheesh

open your eyes

instead of spending the last two months touring america (And the world!) to huge, energetic, enthused audiences.....and introducing the democratic vision for america, obama is spending the past two months dodging bullets about former pastors and flag pins.

it hurts us in ways both direct and indirect. he's a weaker candidate because of the mud slinging (direct costs), and missed a crucial opportunity to have the country/world unite around him (indirect costs)

4. No, he's a stronger candidate because of all the bs.
The bs from the GOP will start in June. Obama has shown he can prevail. The Democratic party will mop the floor with McCain before it is over.

9. indeed thank god for hillary to beat up obama to make him a stronger candidate
*sarcasm*

get real.

all mccain has to do is say "50% of democrats think he isn't ready for the job"....and he'll be quoting hillary. clinton has been airing attack ads on mccain's behalf. mccain would have looked like a mean old white man taking on st. obama with attack ads, but hillary has already done that for him.

hillary is a joke. what she did is inexcusable. i wish her nothing but the worst.

and i hope her staff never finds work in DC again.

3. Both Obama and Clinton supporters must repeat to themselves, "Antonin Scalia, Antonin Scalia..."
Then, no matter which of our fine candidates wins the nomination, they'll not be tempted to sit out or (worse yet) vote for McCain.

Now they are the same stinking candidates not different. They don't give a damn what we want. They do what they want since their money is corporate or religious funded.

This primary is almost painful. Like it means anything good in the end. It is just a very expensive game.

I have a Son who has been to Iraq and was injured and may have to go back again... My choice is simple.. I believe it will be the Dems that will try to end this conflict, and it will take a Dem Pres to do that.. The call to end this war is a loud one that these politicians can no longer deny hearing from the people....

12. You are exactly right
I'm not crazy about Obama either... And find some of his supporter's (not HIS, some of his supporters) tactics to be horrible. But defeating the Republicans is more important than ANYTHING. More important than how I feel about Hillary not coming out ahead. I'm upset, horrible things have been said about her. But this election is more important. Setting things right is more important. The fact that we will have probably two or more Supreme Court Justices retiring is more important.

Whatever Obama supporters feel about Hillary supporters, or vice versa, I think we can all agree that the Republican party must not be allowed to choose the next few Supreme Court justices. Must not be allowed to start more wars. Must be FORCED to end current wars.

That's what we should all be focusing on.
