Obama is not just a great orator, but a master of economical verbiage
He can boil down complex issues into a simple turn of phrase that's short enough for our sound-bite culture---and this is the important thing---without cheapening the message.

I think his speaking skills have been used against him--as if this skill prevents him from being skilled in other areas. I think Obama's appeal goes far beyond his oratory skills. And it goes beyond his positive and strong approach, his reassuring demeanor.

The thing that seals the deal--the man is a great thinker. Pure and simple. To be able to boil down every issue to its essence, and to see the connections between things like the subprime crisis and the Iraq war--this is what makes him so appealing. America is starved for an intelligent president.

3. It's interesting that right after Obama gave his speech on economics
And regulating wall street, in NYC, * game out with his plan to give power to the Fed to regulate wall street.

5. I think that his worst critics..
have not heard him at Town Hall meetings, and small gatherings when he answers questions put to him by the voters. He is very explicit and stays on point. He is a populace candidate there is no doubt about it, it's just that some parts of the populace is either so turned off because of their own visceral emotional issues, or because they just haven't had the opportunity to hear anything other than what the 'media' feeds them.
