Why the Clinton SCAMPAIGN won't stop---she needs the cash
AP reported this morning that Clinton loaned her campaign another $6.4 million. She can't quit now---she has to pay herself back first.

She's starting to look pathetic.

http://newsprism.wordpress.com/2008/05/07/scampaign-114-million-reasons-hillary-wont-bow-out-gracefully/">The Clintons' math begins with a dollar sign.

1. Can't she just ask Obama to bail her out and let her fade to grey?
This is sadness and madness.

2. well that may be true
but I don't see how staying in helps her solve that problem. With the burn rate she has going she can not improve her financial situation even if she does stay in money will now be harder than ever to come by. Her staff costs alone will ensure she cant catch up. Unless of course they all decide to work for free for the next month and I don't see that happening they are well aware of where she is at right now even if she isn't.

7. Exactly
Heavy restrictions on mailers and polling, and VASTLY reduced ad spots. ALthough if she's just staying in till WV/Ky she can probably afford not to do much and still win, allowing for a "graceful" exit after obama surpasses her in pledged dels permanently in oregon. That's assuming she doesn't just go kamikaze... .

3. Exactly ...they don't want to have to pay for it out of their $109,000,000 piggy bank.

4. She could still seek donations with a suspended campaign
No, this is all about the ego of not just the Clintons, but the egos of the same people working for her that once ran the WH for Bill who cant believe they could ever lose.

She runs a big risk of being thought of in a historical context as the ultimate spoiled plutocrat unable to accept reality by staying in.

5. She doesn't need to be a candidate to raise more money.
She's a sitting Senator and former first lady. She can raise more money over time.

8. Anyone who would give her money at this time is crazy, but, hey, it's their money.
