Wow so we really are going to tear the party apart even further
The willful disregard from hillary for the dem party at this point is beyond anything I ever imagined she was capable of. This campaign has blown out every ounce of respect I ever had for Clinton's and it used to be substantial.

If someone had told me a year ago she would go out like this I wouldn't have believed it.

Its not just the right wing radio crowd who hates her now.

6. Its a shame
She really could be such a positive force in the dem party and for women. To see it all thrown away for ambition is very sad.

5. No, I don't agree. She needs to drop out after KY & WV, not before.
She's doing Obama a favor on that one.

25. I understand the theory
that she's staying in to save Obama the embarrassment of losing to someone no longer in the race in WV and KY. However, were she to campaign for him in those states, he would likely win in them.

7. She needs to stay in to keep new voters coming to the polls
Obama is going to be the nominee, and everyone knows it, so what's the harm?

9. no harm at all if she stops trying to tear him down.
Do you really think thats going to happen with stooges like begala out today spewing crap like Obama cant win the white vote?

I have no problem with her staying in to continue spreading a dem message. I don't buy for a second thats what she is going to do though one need only listen to the conference call this morning to know she plans to forge ahead with all her divisive kitchen sink crap.

12. she is incapable of running without intentionally stirring up racist crap. Validating the screwed up
"elitist" label against Obama is not to be condoned.

8. You actually think that she's tearing the party appart?
Please, there are plenty of Democrats who will not vote for Obama, whether she dropped a moth ago, today or in June.

16. Because the more they see of Obama, the less they like him.
Don't blame Hillary for Obama's own flaws. Such as Wright, "bittergate", Ayres, etc.

20. Trying to dump on her Obama's weak points is not valid.
She didn't make him say those "bitter" comments, she didn't sit listening to Wright for 20 years, she's not a buddy of Ayres, she is not the associated with Rezko, she's not the one who made a fuzz over the flag pin months ago, she's not the one who made him lack actual experience and preparedness for the job.

Dem who dared to step forward.

This time they had to do it PUBLICLY and you all are finally seeing it for yourselves.

Those who knew the tactics associated with Clintons have helped to beat them back and expose them as the party traitors they are.

21. frankly, I don't care what Sen. Clinton does . . . stay in, drop out, go sailing, whatever . . .
because the problem for the Democrats is going to be exactly the same no matter who the nominee is, and no matter how long the primary season continues . . .

and that is that, in most of the country, people will STILL be voting electronically, and Republican corporations will STILL be tabulating the votes . . . as Mark Crispin Miller notes in his essay "Defining Insanity" . . .

http://markcrispinmiller.blogspot.com/2008/05/defining-insanity.html

"Bush did not beat Gore and Kerry by 'defining' them a certain way--because Bush did not beat Gore or Kerry. Bush 'won' both of those elections by stealing them. Gore won Florida, and Kerry won Ohio. The evidence is out there, and it's irrefutable.

"And yet the Democrats refuse to face it, doing nothing as the GOP continues to prepare to steal this next election, too.

"In short, what's happened twice already is about to happen once again; and yet the Democrats have changed their thinking, and altered their behavior, not at all."

http://markcrispinmiller.blogspot.com/2008/05/defining-insanity.html

so unless we get some kind of miracle between now and November (and I can't think of one), we'll be inaugurating President McCain in January . . . because . . .

it's not who votes that counts; it's who counts the votes . . .

26. It's possible, but...
the swell of support for Obama and lack of enthusiasm over McSame has me thinking they'll have to try really, really, really hard this time around to negate all the Republican hate in America... :)

29. Would you rather have Obama lose decisively, twice, to someone who isn't running?
She has to stay in for that reason, and the other reason she has to stay in is to mend some of the divide that has been created--to facilitate a smooth transition to a unified party. Listen to the superdelegates being interviewed today, and to McAuliffe etc. There's a coordinated message of "unification by June 3rd" if you'd calm down enough to hear it.
