Mods: Is it time to change the name of GD:Primaries
To GD:General Election? There is really no doubt at this point as to who the Democratic nominee will be. Even long term HRC supporters on this board are coming to that realization. I think DU DOES have an impact on a national level, and I think its time to firmly and collectively turn our guns away from ourselves and on to the Republicans. Changing the name of this board is IMHO a small part of that effort.

6. That's up to the admins, not the mods. And while I do not speak for them...
I think Skinner was pretty clear in his post about the primaries:

"At some point between now and the Democratic convention in August, one of the two remaining Democratic front-runners will drop out of the race, and the remaining candidate will become the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. When we have a presumptive nominee, the time for fighting on DU will come to an end. The squabbling will not drag on until the "official" nomination at the convention in August. The transition to general election mode begins when we have a presumptive nominee."

While it's looking pretty good (OK, really good) for Obama at this point, he is not the "presumptive nominee." When he gets to 2025 and/or Clinton drops out, then we'll have something to talk about.

7. If that's the case - then it will never happen, Edwards is still in.
He only suspended, he didn't officially drop out.
