"Tip O' The Hat "--to Message Boards and Web Blogs, esp. DU
Seems to me that anybody limited to radio and/or television for political news gets low quality information and propaganda. It wasn't so long ago that American history classes scornfully derided Soviet Union styled "news"--and yet look at us now. Monopolistic corporate ownership of our communication systems is horrificly altering the public conscious in all manner of ways. I am hopeful that a fairness doctrine can be reinstituted, monopolies busted, and regulations reimposed on Public Services.

I believe that the great groundswell of voter registrations and interest has been assisted by the internet message boards and blogs that serve to counterbalance the corrupted "mainstream" media. There are many sites to shout out for distinction if you care to list them, but I will gladly, sincerely, be thankful for DemocraticUnderground. Thanks Skinner, Elad, and Earl G for managing this great resource and for helping to preserve the right to know, to assemble, and to dissent.

3. Kudos from me, too.
I have always said that the blogs are going to change the way elections are run, as we are keeping them honest. There isn't a lot they can get by with without someone reporting it. I applaud those of you who are so sharp in pulling information out of the archives to refute lies.

I look forward to the day when this administration is a memory and when the government has been cleaned as best as can be done. It will be so refreshing to hear truth from power, not the lies that we are fed today.

Thanks to Skinner and his crew!

Go, bloggers!

4. Rec'd. Great post! I feel very lucky to know what's going on, even
though in many cases ignorance would be bliss. Thank you, DU, from me also.

5. I've said it before
but it bears a repeat:
You have to wade through a lot of crap - but only in the blogosphere can you find the truth. Stuff that can be boiled down to an unrefutable core.

The MSM do not deliver this. They have presenters and pundits. The journalist has died and been revived as a more collective entity.
