25. Honestly, I didn't know that he is alive
:hide:

I mean, the man flew bombers in WWII and unfortunately the number of men from that generation is getting smaller and smaller these days (women, too, of course; just to a lesser extent). If any of Mr. McGovern's generation are reading my post, my proverbial hat off to you and "long may you run!"

2. yup - officially transferring his support from Clinton to Obama. He's going to call Bill Clinton.
Bill will most likely embarrass himself and shout at McGovern like a lunatic.

6. Truth be told, if you watched him on the Colbert Report, he sounded like an Obama supporter
I think it was Colbert, from a few months ago. He said he had endorsed Hillary, but sounded like he really liked Obama and at the time didnt think much of his chances.

21. Rightwing shill? I suggest you
do some reading to see who McGovern is - that is, unless you forgot your "sarcasm" tag.

That's like calling JFK a right wing shill or Jimmy Carter a right-wing shill.

33. I didn't see
a sarcasm flag, and I asked if you forgot it. But, rest assured, I'm not pissed off. I was a bit astounded though. I haven't been around the board for some time until recently, so I don't "know" everyone as well as some do. You have to admit, your joke was easy to misinterpret.

10. McGovern has defected. Announced his support for Obama. This embarassment would NOT have
been necessary - even if Clinton had remained in through Puerto Rico - had she not initiated the divisive scorched earth crap she did last night and this morning. It is her own fault.

30. Odd that Hillary worked on his campaign.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Clinton#Law_school

The following summer, Rodham and Clinton campaigned in Texas for unsuccessful 1972 Democratic presidential candidate George McGovern.
