I still see posts about Barack's use of the word "Bitter" as something negative. How was that used in a negative way? I am not sure what your definition of bitter is but, to me bitter means either something that taste bad or causing anguish or disappointment. Since we are not talking about food, I would say we are talking about anguish or disappointment. So, you mean to tell me that it is disrespectful to say people are anguished or disappointed? If you are not anguished or disappointed, that means you are happy with the current circumstances. Are you happy with gas prices, foreclosures, job loss, education, tax breaks for the wealthy and this war in Iraq? So again I ask, why are people still upset about the "bitter" statement?
Then there is the Rev. Wright issue. Who here allows someone else to speak for them? Regardless of how many years you've known them. If your brother, sister, mother, father, or cousin were to go out and say something, is if fair to say that you believe whole-heartedly in everything they say? Is it fair to say they speak for you? But, let me take that a step further since you cannot choose family. How many times have you seen interviews of people, who were next door neighbors to a criminal for years, did not know it, but once that criminal was arrested for some hideous act, the first thing that neighbor would say is, "I had no idea they would do something like that"! Is if fair to say, that if that neighbor do not move, they agree with what that criminal was doing?
People with these "Holier than thou" attitudes really bother! No man/woman is perfect! People make mistakes. But to hold one persons feet to the fire more than the other really baffles me! Especially when it comes to using one persons words to define someone else!
I hope that if/when Barack Obama is officially named the Democratic nominee,he can count on the Hillary Clinton supporters to help derail the Rebulican attack machine and keep John McCain from becoming president. Because I truly believe Barack Obama is the best person for the job!
