Despite the odds and defying the conventional wisdom, you stayed in the race and continued to fight. While this prolonged contest had made many of us weary, it has also been the tinderbox that has ignited participation by Democrats in this Election Year to blistering numbers. These are numbers that will overtake the forces of hate and fear like a tidal wave in November. Clinton and Obama supporters will soon come to reconciliation, and when all our stares are turned in the same direction - toward McCain - he will finally know that this election is as much as anything The People of the United States vs. The Republican Party.

You said you were vetted. And now, thanks to you, so is Obama. You said Obama couldn't win a hard election contest. Well you gave him a test as hard as any, and he has emerged victorious, battle-tested, scarred, and a better candidate for it. Your candidacy has been at the very least a shot in the arm for the liberal electorate, an electorate composed of many who had never voted before, but now prepared to vote against the forces that have destroyed our nation over the past seven years.

With your skill and tenacity you could very well be the cinder block that breaks the elephant's back come Election Day. McCain's ability to defeat Obama is questionable, but against Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton? In this scenario, we might as well call the results now.

We have a presumptive nominee. His charisma and ability to inspire new voters is now, thanks to you, matched by his ability to navigate and counter manufactured media controversies while staying true to his character. This is a skill he will need to battle McCain and the media who love him. It is my hope that people will not look back on your campaign as a spoiler or a sabotage, but rather an invigoration of an electorate that was desperately needed to overcome the elite and their proven ability to manipulate a public to their ends. Thank you, Senator Clinton. And congratulations for your victories and your continued service to our nation.
