5. Don't expect a "bums rush" ... I'd say they'll just dribble in 2-3/day.

They DON'T want to alienate the Clintons OR their supporters. It's a matter of Hillary saving face ... and getting a pound of flesh. She's got bargaining chips and they're usually used to put "loyalists" in the cabinet. It's more likely that one of her more prominent supporters (Wes Clark?) will get the VP nod than someone else - depending on whether Obama thinks the horse-trading is consistent with his "new style" or "politics-as-usual."

"Kos Doesn't Want Hillary To Drop Out (Yet): "If Clinton were to drop out this week, we'd face an uncomfortable situation in West Virginia, with Clinton likely crushing Obama. That would look terrible for the presumptive nominee. Better than that would be to garner enough superdelegate commitments this week, so that Oregon can push Obama past 2,024. That way, it isn't the supers who clinch it for Obama, but actual voters."
