28. Sorry, those are NOT accomplishments
Edited on Wed May-07-08 01:23 PM by kay1864
I'm an Obama supporter, but those are things he PLANS to do, not things he's DONE. Except for maybe the first two and the last two, and a couple of others.

Any RWers I send this list to will point out the obvious in half a second. (okay, maybe two seconds, since they're RWers)

Impressive list nonetheless. It's just not a list of accomplishments.

14. Beat the Dem's best - the Clintons - on the ground
Edited on Wed May-07-08 12:27 AM by Spiffarino
Obama's ground game beat Clinton's at almost every turn. He caught up in states where she began with huge leads and made it close, then ran circles around her almost everywhere he won. When she attacked, his response ads came quickly - sometimes on the same day - and they were sharp and effective. His fundraising has been phenomenally successful as well as creative and innovative. He has largely done it with a constituency that Beltway insiders laughed and scoffed at...until it worked.

It's crystal clear: Obama is the best candidate. He has taken on the odds-on favorite and has beaten her in every conceivable metric in spite of a strong campaign.

The guy's a winner.

in our system, what ultimately qualifies one for chief executive is the support of the voters, nobody should discount that.

18. He mobilized the entire country to get out and vote for
democrats He contributed to the enthusiasm and interest in politics taken up by all Americans across generational lines and has given the party a shot in the arm that we haven't seen since JFK. He is about the only positive thing that has happened to this country in the past 8 years, surpasing even Gore's popularity and appeal. He has convinced this country that our government belongs to us. For this magnificant feat alone, he has earned the presidency. He will win it in a landslide.

Those are legislative things he's done. Not executive.

He could give Harry Reid a run for Senate Majority Leader.
