The Big Loser is CBS News
They called this race about four hours ago. From an already struggling network, that's not good. I know who I'm not trusting in November.

7. What difference does it make that CBS called the race prematurely?

15. The difference only affects CBS and their credibility
But, you know, OUCH. Not a lot of great news coming out of that division in awhile.

13. CBS News really needs to stick a fork in what's left of their news department...
They are done. Reports that they're going to outsource it to CNN makes sense...they just aren't planning on putting the resources necessary to have a real organization, as tonight shows.

14. well, to be fair, they might yet be *technically* correct....
Despite the circumstance that an HRC "victory" of this nature is just as certainly a death knell for her campaign as losing Indiana would be, she is still ahead by a percentage point or so. That point is going to be awfully important to some political analysts at CBS if it holds.

16. They're an embarrassment
I liked their TV operation under Rather, but I haven't watched since they kicked him to the curb. I used their website for a few years but they destroyed the design of it in an attempt to be both CNN.COM and MSNBC.COM at the same time. Not to mention they post way too many opinion columns as news articles.

21. They have been losers....
They have been official losers since 60 minutes took in the ass from big tobacco and their threats. From that exact moment CBS, betrayed the trust of Edward R. Murrow.

I hope to Christ Obama win Indiana because it will be the death knell for CBS.

19. The same coward network that drop kicked Rather and Mapes?
Not surprised. I was a loyal CBS viewer since I was a little girl, but the Rather flap sent me packing. It's all been downhill from there.

22. They're sticking to their story
As of 12:35AM May 7, "Clinton pulled off an Indiana win in what was a virtual must-win Midwestern state, but her margin of victory appears to be small..."

Why can't they just admit they made a mistake? You'll "An unexpected surge in uncounted ballot from the northwestern part of the state skewed our results..." I'd have more respect for them if they'd written something like that.

It appears everyone is following suite, with 99% reporting. It was still a premature call, but they appear to have gotten lucky.
