4. I would rather vote for Feingold
than Obama or Clinton.

I would also rather vote for Kucinich, Dodd, Biden, Dean or Gore.

But I will vote for the DEM nominee in Nov. whether it's Obama or Clinton.

8. Feingold would be better than either of them.
He is a known entity. He is brilliant and ethical and doesn't pander or change his views every time the wind blows. And he has much more real experience than either of them, having been a Senator since 1992.

4:52 p.m.: Dems rate well on middle class scorecard

The Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, a New York think tank that bills itself as nonpartisan, has released its "middle class" scorecard ranking U.S. Senators and Members of the House of Representatives and how they voted on legislation affecting the middle class.

Officially titled The MiddleClass.org 2007 Congressional Scorecard, the Drum Major Institute ranked Members of the House and Senate on ten pieces of legislation that it claims would have "the most significant impact on the squeezed middle class and the aspirations of low-income Americans who want to join the middle class."

Although the Drum Major Institute claims bipartisan status, the legislation it used for it's A through F rankings gave a clear advantage to Democrats, most of whom were given exceedingly high scores. Republicans tended to rank toward the bottom. In fact, most of the bills used to determine lawmakers' grades were sponsored by Democratic members.

The scorecard can be found at www.themiddleclass.org.

Among Wisconsin's two U.S. Senators, Russ Feingold, D-Middleton, was given an A+, with a score of 88 percent, while Herb Kohl, D-Milwaukee, scored 75 percent, and was given an A.

Clinton and Obama both received an A+ while McCain recieved an incomplete...:etf: incomplete?!

11. That's the first and only time "middle class"
will be applied to Herb Kohl.

5. Argh, that's tough
Feingold is one of the only people who could make me rethink my support for Obama...I'd probably still go with Obama though, in part because I read somewhere that Feingold has alienated a lot of his senate colleagues by embarassing them on ethics. That's admirable but could make it harder for him to be effective as president.

I think Feingold is a good choice for VP though.

6. Why did you throw Feingold in?
IOW, what's your point with this? (I'm not trying to be snarky. I'm just curious.)

9. Because I think he would be better than any of the candidates
that ran, but we didn't get him as a choice. I just wanted to see how many other people had similar views.

15. I think you mean DU?
If I did this poll in January, Feingold would have won easily. 80% of the Obama supporters on DU did not have him as their first choice.

16. 25% is a lot for a Senator who is not even running.
