I just voted for Obama this morning, ask me ANYTHING!
At 6:30 this morning in Indianapolis my wife and I were the 18th and 19th voters at our polling station. Normally they don't get to 18 or 19 until noontime. Lines at the polls everywhere in the city at 6:30 this morning. Its a beautiful day and turnout is looking good here. No rain until after the polls close.

2. Congratulations!
 When I voted in PA, it made me smile (and I've been voting since 1972). This was the first time in a long, long time that I happily cast my vote.

8. It would be nice if we could end this here today
Its tight, they both have areas of strength in the state. I'll hope the Bradley Effect doesn't come into play MUCH and we can eke out a victory here. He will certainly take Indianapolis, we'll have to see how the rest of the state goes.

6. Any chance you can help with GOTV?
I'm sure they could use the help in Indianapolis if you are able to help. Congrats on voting for Obama...must have felt good to finally vote for him after all these primaries!

Just curious, are you originally from Philadelphia?

10. I am originally from and still proudly claim Philadelphia as home
But I have lived in Indy the last 12 years. My wife is from here, so Philly is a place I get to visit from time to time.

9. What do Indianans make of the 1 million plus voter registrations dumped?
Especially since a higher proportion of them were in the area of IN near Chicago?

13. I would bet you that most don't know about it
The citizens of this state look down on folks up in Lake County anyway as big city Chicago types. So if their votes get dumped, you won't find much complaining in the rest of the state. Except from people like me. I haven't found much use for the Democratic Party in this state when it comes to looking out for their voters. Hopefully that will change.

15. Hmmm...I can say this
Nobody that I saw take ballots asked for a Republican ballot. Granted, they don't have much of a primary, but I work with a lot of republican voters and over the last few weeks they were asking me the rules on how to vote Democratic this time. These are folks who don't really pay attention, but the Bush/Daniels policies are finally biting them on the ass enough to pay attention. I was just glad to be able to steer them in the right direction.

40. The GOP Switchers I know were 50/50
Actually, for me that's good, my mission is to keep them Democratic no matter who they vote for. The presidential thing is important, but here in Indiana, we have GOT to get rid of Mitch Daniels in the fall. As a state employee, I know full well the sting of his blade.
