Am I alone in thinking this?
It seems to me that the McCain/Obama/McCain/Clinton polls are absolutely meaningless.

There is a difference between walking up to somebody on the street and asking them "who would you vote for?" and getting a response and polling somebody who is going to vote for their candidate even if there is 3 feet of snow on the ground.

McCain's "supporters" are not excited about him. They even say they will "hold their nose and vote" for him. What will motivate them to actually stand in line for two hours at the polls in November? The Democrats are passionate this election cycle.

I just don't understand the purpose of these polls.

4. I agree.
McCain is the only one on the republican side, and playing him against the two dems, is meaningless. If it was only one dem against him, things would be much different. It also depends on where you do the polls, and how honest those you ask really are.

5. ...and probably doesn't include those people
who had to shut off the telephone due to the costs of food and gasoline.

3. The purpose is to give the M$M constant "elections"
Every day, new numbers, like the vote is going on every day.
This fantasy is, of course, preposterous. But the media have to have daily numbers, like baseball scores, to throw up. It's all make-believe

6. The only purpose is to hoodwink us!
Obama has been under fire from all parties, i.e, Hillary, Bill, McCain, the RNC, the Corporate Media, and the GOP noise machine (Rush and 'em)

To poll him against McCain who is barely being attacked in anyway

and Hillary who Obama hasn't really attacked, and the Corporate media is touting her as tho she was the frontrunner.......

is unfair to Obama, and actually shows that once ALL of the gun are no longer aiming at him alone, he will kick McCain's ass in poll after poll after poll.

That's why I keep asking, "are we there yet?"
