So much for speculation.

Not surprisingly, 'moderate' Democrats are 2.5 times more likely to be ABYSMALLY IGNORANT

5. Why is GWB's approval rating still over 20%?
Some people are just 'stuck on stupid'. There is always going to be a demographic who won't vote for a candidate under any circumstances, and they'll use whatever they can to support their position, however much it defies logic.

He's probably failing to connect because these people are fucking stoopid and he refuses to lower himself to their level unlike antoher candidate who has a law degree from Yale and pretends to be an ignorant rube in order to pander to this group.

13. He needs to tell them that he/we too are very worried about any Muslims who are extremists and that
as a Christian with direct experience of Muslim culture, from the outside looking in, he is in an especially objective well informed position to know more about Muslims and, therefore, to be able to deal with them more effectively than their favorite ignorant pResident who shows what can happen when you take on a whole world-wide culture without any knowledge or understanding of what it is.

14. Because:
He comes across as a complete snob.

He is robotic and emotioneless.

He is not percieved as a fighter.

His wife is a real piece of work.

He shows an incredible lack of judgement in all things Wright.

He wrote a bestselling book about the guy he now does not "know".

He is lukewarm in everything he details, and throws out the "you don't get it" thing when he's asked for details.

He likes republicans.

More?

24. I have never heard anyone use Muslim interchangeably with snob
Nor have I heard of Muslims being stereotyped as robotic or emotionless.

Nor have I heard of Muslims being characterized as not being fighters, quite the contrary.

Nor have I heard of Muslims being stereotyped as allowing their wives be "real pieces of work", in fact Muslims are frequently viewed as being zealous in keeping their wives outside of the public sphere.

I have also never heard of a Muslim being accused of guilt by association with a Christian pastor.

So your points kind of tell me why people should not think Obama is a Muslim.

And in as non-bigoted a way as possible, please explain why being Muslim is bad, and then we'll send Muhammad Ali over to your house to straighten you out. How can it possibly be any worse than being a follower of Jerry Falwell?

23. Don't expect logic when talking about religion
Obama's made a very Faustian bargain by playing the religious card over and over. Sometimes it works, like in South Carolina. Sometimes it doesn't.

Religion is extremely dangerous stuff, and people who purposefully use it for personal advantage may not just get away with it.

It's not all his fault, but he's been playing with fire.

39. When you think of the #s who supported Bush Jr, clearly some Americans...
...march to a different drummer.

There are a couple of reasons I can think of as to why 7% still think he's Muslim: lack of correct information and lack of correct information.

What is important is that the SDs know the truth and are moving to Obama.

In yesterday's LATimes, there was an article about how Hillary's grasp of California SDs is weakening:
