Umm, as I remember KO was also on that anti-Clinton train right along with Fox news during the impeachment.

Anyone else remember that?

12. He's wondering if...
she'll ever go on his show after the vicious way HE has treated her. Being treated badly by Fox/O'Reilly is understandable, they are idiots and I expect them to be bias, twisting situations to suit there purposes. But, I expected better from KO, just a little fairness. He's like a dog, looking for any little scrap that he can twist into a Clinton negative. He supports Obama, but since there isn't a lot in the way of experience and accomplishments to say about Obama, he instead demonizes Clinton. The man is totally disgusting.

2. Look, KO used to work at Fox and he loathes them.
KO also quit that job because of the media circus around Bill Clinton's intern job and the way the Clintons were treated then. He continues to be critical of Fox and the assault the media arm of the RNC has made on journalism and free speech. Perhaps the denizens of Hillary would be well served to remember that this man stood up for them when they were really down there. He stood up, and they just stayed in the gutter.

...on which he REFUSED to talk about the Lewinsky scandal. Ultimately, MSNBC insisted he cover it, so he quit. He went back into sports broadcasting until after 9/11, when he got back into the news biz.

11. Hillary's appearance on Fox was a topic of discussion last night on Bill Moyers Journal.
He was speaking with Kathleen Hall Jamieson whose assessment was that by appearing in such an "adversarial format" she is showing that she is tough enough to be Commander in Chief. She's ready to be president. She's experienced enough to handle the job, because of the command of detail in her answers.

They also discussed Obama's appearance this week and how the interviews he had done were bolstering to his image also. It was quite interesting to see how and why the candidates chose the different venues and how news is being watched and disseminated by the voters in this election cycle.

If you missed the show you can find the full transcript or watch it online here: http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/05022008/transcript.html

just wind, thunder and lightning (I live in Fort Smith). There was some wind damage here, but not on the same scale as the hail storm we had in April. It has been a very active spring storm season around here.

I wouldn't know if the interview was brilliant because I never watch Fox.

I happen to love KO. He is one of my heroes for reasons unrelatead to this insane race the the White House.

Edwards had it right. Dems should boycott Fox News. All Dems. There is nothing to gain by playing their game. Not even a few votes in red Indiana are worth losing your soul over.

Just wait and see what BO does to the Clintons if Hillary happens to pull off a victory. I promise you, it won't be worth watching.

35. There seems to be some confusion here. The facts:
In 1997, KO had a show on MSNBC called "The Big Show" that eventually morphed into the theme "White House in Crisis" after the Lewinsky scandal broke. He has said, ever since, that he ended up doing 218 consecutive shows about Lewinsky and nothing else...and that the experience was making him so deeply unhappy, making so many bells go off in his head about the lack of morality in it all, that he could do it no longer. Eventually, in late 1998, he and MSNBC came to an agreed-upon parting of the ways. At that point, KO moved to Fox Sports, but his stay there was not successful and his show was canceled before his contract had fully played out. Because they got rid of him rather than allowing them to provoke him into doing something to make them have to fire him, they had to pay out the remainder of his contract. He has often referred to this period in his life as "the best job I ever had." He has often talked since about how much he loathed working for them. But he never worked for their news division, only their sports division. And it was being FORCED to spend so much time at MSNBC covering Lewinsky that made him miserable there. But even so, in 2003 he was able to mend the fence, and come back with another show after having substituted for Jerry Nachman a few times.

I think what makes him really sick now is realizing that back in 1998, he felt terrible about what was happening to the Clintons and what the media, especially people like Scaife, were doing to them. He felt so awful about being part of it himself that he had to step down from his job. Yet today, what do we see but Hillary cozying up to Scaife like they're old buddies? And he asks Hillary why, and she first cackles hysterically at him, then utters some garbage about "believing in deathbed conversions." Bullshit.

And Bill O'Reilly was never in a position to get Keith fired from anything. No, KO's problem with O'Reilly is with what he says and does, and with the fact that he feels guilty (as I see it) for allowing Billo to become so successful. At the time KO left MSNBC, Billo had barely begun on Fox, and his ratings were nothing to speak of. However, Billo soon filled the vacuum left on cable news, and rose to have the most popular cable news show with the biggest ratings. I think KO is convinced to this day that if he hadn't left MSNBC, Billo would never have as big a hit.

As for Hillary going on KO's show, she already DID...a week ago. Some people obviously missed it.
