3. Good, but not good enough! I want 20 points
I want another real blow-out in NC to shut Clinton down once and for all.

I think he'll pull it off if he can come out with some serious energy this weekend. We'll see.

A <10 point win in NC will look about the same as Clinton's <10 point win in Pennsylvania - not all that impressive.

7. Me too, but remember many of the polls that have been reported today were conducted during the
height of the Wright non-issue issue. This poll was conducted Tuesday and Wed, so hopefully this will be the beginning of a comeback.

5. Why do all the pollsters assume turnout among black voters will be in the low 30's?
From what I've understood turnout among black voters in a dem primary in NC is around 40%, if so that would push Obama's lead up to about 15-points.

13. Yes, I hope he can extend the white vote to at least 35% along with 90% black vote
that should give him a double digit victory of 12-15 points.

19. Yeah and if you figure the percents for all men and women its Obama 51.14 and Clinton 43.94
I also think they undercount the 60 plus vote. That has been coming out much stronger than the 20% they project and it's usually very pro Clinton.

39. Some text
Of all age groups, men and women, Obama leads with 51 percent of the vote as compared to Clinton's 44 percent. Another three percent were undecided and two percent chose "other."

-snip

The poll also shows that younger voters (ages 18-29) heavily favor Obama 67 percent to Clinton's 29 percent. On the other hand, those over 60 chose Clinton by a margin of 59 percent to 35 percent. Overall, Clinton leads for those over 45 years old while Obama leads all younger sets.

Women also chose Clinton by a slight margin over Obama, 49 to 47 percent, while men chose Obama 56 percent to 38 percent for Clinton.

The poll also shows that black voters chose Obama by a whopping 88 percent margin.

42. The past week has work on a lot of SDs
I really don't know where she gets off teaming with Scaife and fanning the Wright thing, which has absolutely nothing to do with Obama in the first damn place -- and she knows it.

You can bet there are a bunch of SDs who are now ready to shut this thing down. A week ago, it would have taken a blowout in NC to get the big SD move.

But now, if Obama basically breaks even on delegates assigned next Tuesday, that will trigger the decisive move in SDs.

He needs to win by over 10 and atleast keep Indiana close. Tho if not.. Oh well. But it is time he showed some strength.

He needs to head deep into Clinton territory to talk to the people there.

The press will all of a sudden remember their 4th grade math and say Hillary got within single digits, 9.4%
