Sorry if this is a duplicate thread... but it's just too funny. Here's Ahmadinejad on the Democratic contenders:

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran said during a trip to New Delhi on Tuesday, that he believed that neither Clinton nor Senator Barack Obama, the other Democratic presidential candidate, had a chance of winning the U.S. presidential election in November.

"Do you think a black candidate would be allowed to be president in the U.S.?" the semiofficial Mehr News Agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying. "We don't think Mr. Obama will be allowed to become the U.S. president."

Referring to Clinton, he said: "Presidency of a woman in a country that boasts its gunmanship is unlikely."

1. Now isn't he the sexist pig?
I suppose if a male candidate had said the same thing, it would have been okay.

6. Presidency of a woman in a country that boasts its gunmanship is unlikely."
His words imply that if McCain has said this or Obama had said this it would have been okay. There have been several Dems that have said if Israel is attacked by Iran we would strike back, John Edwards being one of them. Had he left out the word "woman" I would not have called him that.

11. No, I think he's saying that US machismo means a woman can't be elected
"Boasts its gunmanship" = "swaggers a lot and thinks of itself as a John Wayne character".

13. Why are all these crap threads flaming on, while my relevant, topical post on how international
relations are interecting with the elections gets completely ignored?
Rhetorical question, no need to answer.

21.  The last thing he wants is for Muslim women to see what is actually possible in a Democracy.
It would undermine Islamic institutionalized sexism and, quite possibly, the entire Islamic power structure.
