CNN just said that Indiana is TIED
CNN poll -- saw it on TV just a few minutes ago -- said that Obama and Hillary were tied. I think it was at 47% each (6% undecided).

Seems like a read some post here earlier saying that Hillary was leading Obama by 99.99999% to 0.00001%, or somewhere around that neighborhood.

1. One can always find a poll that suits them.....
Which is what the Hillary fans have been doing.

It is part of "Operation Psyche"!

2. I hope that poll is right but I've lost all faith in
all polls. Not that I ever had much.

3. There's a reason the polls are wacky..makes it almost impossible
to have a clue about what's going on..and can cover a multitude of "oddities"..:(

4. A razor thin win for HRC in Indiana doesn't do much for her
Assuming she loses in North Carolina by 8-12 points.

The superdelegates Obama has won in the last 72 hours have almost erased her pickups from Pennsylvania.

5. polls don't matter
because that's not how the nomination is decided. Rachel Maddow had an excellent analysis about a week ago. The fact remains that we actually have no idea what the undecided superdelegates will base their decision on. Maybe pledged delegates, maybe popular vote, perhaps money raised, maybe their own personal weegie board. This is more about the media creating the pretense of a story and then over-analyzing it to death. Notice how many media stations describe how the race to the Dem nomination is essentially tied when it is anything but that.

6. Oops
was replying as if the original statement was about the national polls. State polls are still important if they haven't voted yet.

7. Maybe you should share your opinion with Howard Dean about the race being "essentially tied when it
is anything but:"

"DR.DEAN: What's going to happen is, based on the last--you know, this is essentially pretty close to a tie here, and what's going to happen these last nine primaries and, and cauc--I guess they're all primaries--is that we're going to--there's going to be some feeling at some point and the--in the--after these last few weeks that one of these candidates is more likely to win than the other, and I think that's who's going to get the nomination. I can't tell you who that is. I have no idea who it is. But that's what's going to happen."
