4. I'm still not done discussing OBLITER-GATE!
I'm still pissed off! But, after that, "gates" are "dead to me", I promise! ;)

It's utterly stupid. Watergate made sense. White Water Gate was kinda funny, but every other "Gate" is just plain stupid. STUPID!!! David

11. I quite liked Pearlygate
When some fundie preacher (was it Pat Robertson?) was caught with his pants down. But that's about it as far as clever gate puns go.

6. I suggested using "water" as a suffix....
as I'm betting Clinton would be none to eager to mention "Wrightwater"...

7. Me to the 1000th power.
I wasn't even alive for Watergate. Neither were most of the younger end of voters.

15. People can "gate" as much as they want
If they promise to stop "throwing _____ under the bus". Good god y'all, get a new cliche!

19. Instead of "throw them under the bus", I propose...
we use "nail their head to the floor" in honor of Dinsdale Piranha. It would make DU so much more fun.

16. I've said it repeatedly
It's a pathetically lame attempt to attach more significance to incidents or statements than they actually deserve. Not to mention being unoriginal.
