I don't remember which DUer posted a thread, I believe yesterday, regarding Drudge and his "homo" type pictures of Kerry/Edwards. While I hate to give Drudge any hits, his current headline reads
"Cant Keep Their Hands Off Each Other"

Now, I am lesbian, but I resent this use of homophobic fear tactics.

2. It wasn't just Drudge.

The picture of Kerry and Gephardt in the Post (you know, the issue where they were ABSOLUTELY WRONG on the front page) had a clip of Kerry and Gephardt that looked very, um, Breht and Scarlet. I am 95% sure it was cut and recropped to frame it that way, too. As someone who keeps a close eye on visual propaganda and how digital editing is reshaping the medium, I'd say that the repeated appearance of these sorts of cropped, cut-and-pasted "close face" shots is no coincidence.

I don't think we have the ability to guess... THEY are capable of ANYTHING!!! This "Terror Alert #251" is an example. It does two things, it dilutes the meaning of these alerts, AND it eats up news coverage of Kerry / Edwards...
