If you dare to run against Obama, and you have the audacity to try, then you are a racist.

This has gotten totally ridiculous, and it needs to stop.

10. Obama's shield
Any political dispute with the Obama campaign is hit head on by the race shield that surrounds Obama. If the attack is personal then it has to be race. This is the politics of the democratic party. It's a little more subtle than the way Brown uses it. He wears his sheet on the outside, the Obama campaign uses it beneath the radar.

I know you're not stupid, so save the act. The sheet reference is directed at Brown, the race card is what the Obama people use covertly.

I should have made that point better, but if you don't think racism flows both ways, then you aren't as smart as I previously gave you credit for.

BTW you have no idea what I am, who knows, putting aside this political argument we might actually like each other, as I'm sure would be the case with many other people at DU.

7. 1. The Clintons are not "the biggest racists alive"
They aren't even racists. They do, however, use race as a political tactic very effectively.

2. Enough with this "race card" stuff.

14. While you are correct...
Clinton is using race, she only did it as a defense against Obama's constant use of race as a weapon. It's sad our candidates are doing this against each other. They should have waited to use these very effective weapons against the Repukes in Nov.

27. You're misinformed about what racism is... it can be disguised as a southern smile...
If you try to undermine a voting block to gain power by using race then that is being a racist. What the clintons have done is mask their candidacy in conciliatory terms while under the surface they are trying to politically undermine Obama's candidacy by raising the issue of race to explain his electability.

"He can't win and you know he can't win because people are not going to vote for him because he is black." This is their racist appeal to the nation. Obama is bi-racial though. "Jesse Jackson ran a good campaign." Again, using race. He should have said, Edwards ran a good campaign too. It's as though Bill was running for the presidency against Obama. His racism is oh so subtle but it's there even if he doesn't think he's a racist because this kind of racism has to do with keeping "power". And he will undermine the will of an electorate to keep that power.

30. No I'm not misinformed about what racism is
I am, however, well-informed about what opportunism is. Using race in the 2008 election is, for them, like using senior citizens in another election, or class conflict in another. It is simple Machiavellianism, not racism.

21. that's what Obama wants you to think
The Wright ordeal has to do with judgment.

The elect ability issue obviously will be full of racial and racist overtones.

In the general election the undertones will not always be covert. The repubs love the racist angle, and they aren't afraid of it.

25. I'm not sure you know what you just said. You are actually admitting racism is being played.
Are you your brother's keeper? You act like you don't know anyone whose ever said something racially derogatory or derogatory in general. If you live long enough you have heard a friend, relative, co-worker say something derogative and you probably didn't disown them. You don't have to answer to me... just think about it.

For Bill to bring it up again before PA was injecting race into the equation.

I have to disagree.

The RW media and the Clinton campaign ignoring that and using that word over and over, yes. It's code for black.

And that's not life in America in 2008. Hillary is toast no matter what dirty cr@p she pulls next.

35. hillary is toast
The democratic primary rules have finished Hillary, and in the process is installing a candidate that can't win in November.

The DNC made the rules and it will probably cost them the white house.

The only hope now would be a unified ticket, but that prospect isn't looking too likely.

24. How Bushian... Bill introduces that Obama had played the race card and had proof of it just before
the PA primary as away of firing up "Blue Collar" bigots and racist, you know the ones that Chris Matthews calls "Regular people". He introduces this again as a way of injecting race back into the equation. Then he recants his statements when it's clear she will win the "white blue collar" vote.

Maybe Regular people can't see what he's doing but latte drinking liberals do. He's dumb enough to think that we're dumb enough not to see what he's doing. Some of the Hillary supporters are waaaaayyyyy too gullible. As a Democrat I'm shocked.

Like I said... Clinton... so Bushian.
