1. Once you start down the speculative "what if" path, it is a labyrinth to nowhere.
Yes, "what if" does feed paranoia and is a roadblock to sound judgement. "What ifs" lead to more "what ifs" and on and on. I prefer facts and sound reasoning as opposed to speculation based upon "what ifs".
