51. No way, that was a punk ass thread to start
...and that was the only response that came to my head immediately. Was it childish? Yes. But the truth is, there was nothing untrue about Obama's bitter comments. The fact is that just two weeks ago Hillary was up in PA by 20 points and now she is squeaking by with 6 percentage points in a state she was destined to win. To me that looks like a 14 point loss. Yet, some one will come on here and gloat as if it is some kind of serious victory. Seriously?

I'm happy and confident that Obama is on his way to seal his nomination. It is now impossible for Hillary to win via pledged delegates, so now her only chance is a groundswell of SD's, which I feel is unlikely.

Ed Rendell's hollow victory in PA doesn't mean all that much to me one way or the other.

Would have been nice to end this shit tonight, and move on to defeating Grandpa McLoon, but at this point, what's another week or two.

Enjoy this moment, Lirwin. There won't be another. :toast:

41. I'm happy as a clam!
Obama destroyed Clinton's 23 point lead in PA.

He whittled it down to single digits. In the end, it's the delegates that count, and she'll
gain less than 10 when all is said and done. He'll more than make that up in South Carolina.

She can't win it mathematically. She'll continue to make these inane assertions--and as we proceed
with this nomination--and it's clear she can't surpass him in the delegate counts--those arguments
will look more absurd as each day passes.

She could have really made a statement tonight with a double-digit win. That's not going to happen.

I'm elated.

let me say that I will vote for Hillary, if she gets the nod. However, the fact that she felt the need to show how tough she is by speaking in neo-con terms about the "obliteration" of Iran, and the fact that she isn't afraid to use nukes, will make me feel like I'm voting for a neo-con asswipe.

that bitter enough for you?

48. I don't know, seems to me he's still in the catbird seat for the nomination
though there are some trends we all need to be concerned with:

"Mrs. Clinton was leading among older voters, women and those who are less affluent and less educated. In fact, among white union members with no college education, she is winning almost three-quarters of the vote. That’s significant.

As we said above (or below, depending on how you’re reading), this has to be troubling to superdelegates who are weighing how Mr. Obama would stand up in a general election.

At the same time, Mr. Obama is winning black voters and those under 45 overwhelmingly. He’s also got the college grads."

52. I am bitter, bitter I say
that Obama has a positive cashflow, cut 15 points off HRC's lead, defined victory in terms that were realistic and achievable.

He got the numbers down to where Hillary is going to spend every remaining day in her campaign justifying her presence.

From here on in, she needs to consider what she has left in political capital after this unsuccessful run. She would do well to consider her next Senate race at this point.

61. Bitter? Not me
Obama closed a 20+ margin to single digits.
Clinton has a very small net gain in delegates. Has to get 80% of votes in remaining states.
Most important, Clinton's finances have gone deep in the hole to gain those few delegates. Obama should dominate the remaining contests.

Clinton needed to win big. She went all in and won small. She is all but finished. Toast. Kaput. I'm quite happy.

I suppose we can all take some small solace in the knowledge that, based on the overwhelming evidence you've presented on this site, you'll most likely run out into traffic and be killed by a bus long before you're able to correctly ascertain the mechanics of human reproduction, thus sparing all future generations from damaging exposure to the evolutionary dead-end that is your genetic line.

Congrats, though!
