HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON FOR U.S. SENATE - Defendant/Respondent

According to Paul on his new website at http://www.paulvclinton.com/Latest

April 9, 2008 -- the Paul v Clinton web site is launched to expose the public to the landmark civil fraud suit pending in California against Hillary and Bill Clinton and their associates.

The first lawsuit to haul a President and a Senator into Court for defrauding the Senator's largest donor as part of a conspiracy to illegally win and keep a US Senate seat will begin discovery in May, 2008 as it proceeds to trial as confirmed by the California Supreme Court.

The discovery will expose an ongoing cover-up of the campaign finance crimes and the obstructions of justice directed by Hillary Clinton with the help of Bill Clinton and former DNC Chair Ed Rendell. The cover-up rivals Watergate in its corruption of each branch of government and the media.

This has been bubbling for a good while and has been the subject of previous posts at DU and on both progressive and (many many) right wing blogs. I personally think it's bogus. Peter Paul is a hugely squirrelly character and has been hammering the Clintons with this for a long time with no success.

But then, I also think the Rezko thing is bogus Edit: (not Rezko, but the Obama "link")

The point is that, if there is a trial, can you imagine the three ring circus as Bill Clinton and possibly even Hillary gets called to the stand?

2. agree the case is bogus, but it appears as if a trial is imminent
unless you have some info that I haven't been able to find about it being dismissed? Please let me know if you do...

A trial with the Clintons as defendants -- talk about a distraction and a feeding frenzy.

3. If the case was 100 percent bogus it would have been thrown out by now

I am not saying Clinton is guilty but it does look like this trial EDIT: could happen
Just remember everyone. If Clinton is found not guilty then that means they are not guilty.

4. I don't think they are guilty. But if there is a trial (and it looks like
we'll find out on April 25) then there will be a right wing explosion.

5. There is going to be a right wing party either way.
They know that their only chance is to go after congressional seats so they want to make it seem like democrats lie and steal and fraud to get their seats.

6. more clinton scandals (even toothless ones) and she's not in office
Do you remember the 1990's? everyday there was another 'scandal'. If Hillary should win the WH, the rw would take up where they left off and she would not be able to get anything done
