It reminded me of GD-P. You want to complain about the media not focusing on issues? How about we take a look at ourselves. The other day I posted a thread with the following statistic:
Current number of occurrences of the word "Bitter" on the front page of GD-P: 24
Current number of occurrences of the word "War" on the front page of GD-P: 0
At any time during the past couple of months I could have replaced "Bitter" with "Sniper" or "Handshake" or "<insert scandal>-gate" and replaced "War" with "Health care" or "infrastructure" or any one of a dozen other issue-related words with effectively the same results. From this I can only conclude that we, the informed, politically-active voters of GD-P are more concerned with scandal than we are with real issues. Hell, I'm as guilty of this as anybody else. So who's really out of touch here?
