Kerry says Iraq war has made us "less safe."
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 08:29 PM by mzmolly
While researching media witch Nedra Pickler, I came acrost an interesting article.

http://www.suntimes.com/output/elect/cst-nws-kerry282.html

"Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry argued on Thursday that Americans face greater dangers because of the Bush administration's mishandling of Iraq and vowed that if elected president, he would ''never let ideology trump the truth.''

''They've made America less safe than we should be in a dangerous world,'' Kerry said as he began an 11-day campaign focus on national security. ''In short, they have undermined the legacy of generations of American leadership."

...

''Everyone outside of this administration seems to understand that we're in deep trouble in Iraq,'' Kerry told an audience of 450 invited guests."

YOU GO JOHN! :toast:

Don't bother to read the rest of the article as it's typical Pickler trash. :eyes: Here's the link for reference.

Some of her statements in the article I note were questioned:

Though none of the questions revolved around my highlited statements by Kerry.

1. I've been busy looking for ways to take down the Pickle too
But I hadn't caught on to that yet. I tell ya, I loved it when Dean said it, and I love it that Kerry is repeating the message!

2. I love it too, though the media seems to be ignoring Kerry's like
statements? I guess they don't want the anti-war vote creeping from the Nader column? :P

I'm certain "Nedra Picks-her-nose" attempted to spin this to Bush's advantage, I was glad to see JK speak out!

3. We were urged to vote for Bush in 2000 ........for a safer nation
"Former" friends sent us a heartfelt letter urging us to vote Republican to save our country from the Democrats who would end up destroying our country. They were very concerned about the future of their grandchildren and knew that if Bush was elected their future would be safe! I'd love to write to them now and ask if they feel more secure....I know I definitely DO NOT!

6. I am very glad to hear him saying this.
It is good to hear him speaking out like that. I want all our Democrats to keep being more that way. It is healing.

8. the title is completely misleading
Kerry said "they've made America less safe...."
and above "...because of the mishandling of Iraq."
