1. Please note:
Peter Fitzgerald isn't seeking another term so his seat will be replaced by Barak Obama! Woo-Hoo!

4. I am personally inviting everyone on DU
to raid Tennessee in 2006 and campaign for Harold Ford Jr. against the evil Dr. Frist.
At least that is the rumor.
Heck, I hope so because I already have a campaign stunt for Harold. He should give out apples at all of his rallies and say, "An apple a day keeps the Doctor away!"

:)

8. Then they aren't "up for reelection."
Their seats are open. That's a different thing.

12. We have a REAL shot at taking back the Senate!!
IL and AK have a good chance as well as holding all our reelections and running winners in NC and FL. Alen Specter may also get a run for his money in PA. Here in KY Bunning may get the boot too.

13. Don't forget LA
We may end up with another centrist dem in the US Senate but it's better than a Republican. I wouldn't count out Georgia, but unfortunately I have a feeling that Zell will be endorsing a Republican to replace him.

14. Minority whip Harry Reid of Nevada is up in 2004
He always runs extremely close races but should win again, after Republican congressman Jim Gibbons decided not to challenge Reid despite pressure from Rove & Co.

15. Thank God for Patty Murray.
I'll be holding my nose and suppressing the gag reflex when voting for Kerry but I'll be all smiles for Patty. Great anti-war senator. Just a great senator period.

16. oh, yes, the McCain thing makes a lot of sense now
why he is suddenly campaigning with the chimp. it also shows kerry wasn't all too serious about putting mccain on the ticket . kerry is close to mccain and there is no doubt they would have a conversation about the vp thing. but the fact is that kerry never directly asked mccain to be vp. which is why mccain is running for senate again and campaigning with chimp. if kerry was serious about mccain he would have talked to mccain much earlier and convinced him to change to independent which would have made it easier for democrats to accept mccain while at the same time attracting the independent and moderates mccain appeals to.
