Hey Hillary, the Bible tells people to "cling" to your faith in Christ

Please note: I am an agnostic and certainly no Bible expert. Found this with a search.

How dare Obama suggest people are doing what the Bible tells them to do? :sarcasm:

18 Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord’s battles. 19 Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. 20 Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples. I threw them out and handed them over to Satan so they might learn not to blaspheme God.

Footnotes:

1. 1 Timothy 1:4 Greek in myths and endless genealogies, which cause speculation.
2. 1 Timothy 1:4 Greek a stewardship of God in faith.
3. 1 Timothy 1:10 Or kidnappers.

5. Now that Obama has spoken the Bible should probably be edited
to include The "bitter" part first.

6. But the other thread suggested the "bitter" part was no big deal.

You Hillary supporters need to settle in on which part was bad.

13. thou shalt put no other god before me...
arrogant...

or course, God is misogynist too...

"As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."

10. I don't. I did a search in an online Bible for the word "cling"
to see what would come up. I am an agnostic, free-thinker.

19. Like the Bill Hicks joke
"Why are you reading?" not what are you reading but 'why'. Why would you know so much? About a book? Why? Why know anything? Why read? Knowlege is death! Ignorance is bliss!
Why would you know so much....what a country!

17. I hope she does because it would backfire like all her other false outrage attacks.
Democrats are beginning to see that she is destroying our chances in November. It's quite disgusting really.

24. In trying times...
Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 08:59 PM by SunsetDreams
when one is losing a job, due to jobs being sent overseas, for cheaper labor. Do you honestlly think someone wouldn't blame an immigrant of that country? not that it's fair, but it happens.

At the same time, in the U.S. we have companies who are hiring illegal immigrants for cheaper labor, while our American workers are out of a job.

In this economy, times are really tough, people are struggling to make it!

So yeah, if you can't see that, that is really sad.

When everything is going wrong, you "cling" to things you can count on like your religion, family, close circle of friends.
