Has the recent Clinton/Obama tete-a-tete made gun control a major issue in 2008?

1. Americas love affair with guns

for all but criminal element, is greatly over estimated by the 'I should be able to own any weapon I want' crowd.
The vast majority of Americans are in favor of stricter gun control but it won't be an issue.

Their God base are slightly ticked off at them so they'll have to rile their guns base all the more.

It'll be as much of an issue as they Republicans can make of it. As usual.

4. The 2nd is always a big deal, even when all this dies down DUer's themselves...

will be arguing both sides of the 2nd. It will go up & down as an issue, but it isn't likely to go away. And I have empathy for people that thought it ever would.
