Obama hypocrisy: "Rich Senator Clinton"
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/04/11/obama-slams-critics-on-middle-class-comments/

The Obamas are a lot richer now than the Clintons were in 1992 and, no doubt, in 2024, or in 2020 (if he is a one-term President as I predict he will be), they will have a lot more than $109 million, adjusted for inflation.

Be careful there. Once you are starting to use the term "rich" you and your buddies - Kennedy and Kerry - will be ensnared in this net.

How many of your audience there realize that you have a $1.5 million home? How many can afford a home even 1/10 of that?

No, don't reply that the Clintons are rich and have an expensive home, too. The comments should be able to stand on their own.

Where is the DU outrage over his attacks? He is attacking a fellow democrat? He is using republican taking points to attack her.

Oh the humanity.

Oh the hypocrisy.

5. Second to the last paragraph.....Here it is:
“Here’s what’s rich. Senator Clinton said, ‘Well I don’t think people are bitter in Pennsylvania. I think Barack is being condescending,” Mr. Obama said. “John McCain said, ‘How could he say that? How could he say that people are bitter? He obviously is out of touch with people.’ Out of touch? Out of touch? John McCain – it took him three times to finally figure out that the home foreclosure was a problem and to come up with a plan for it and he’s saying I’m out of touch?”

48. Ok.......I owe Obama an apology. I falsely accused him of something he did not say. As I explained
later on down in this thread....I did not have my glasses on when I read the NY Times article.

And when I was reading...I thought I saw "Here's what rich Sen. Clinton said" when his words were actually "Here's what's rich. Sen. Clinton..."

I don't want to accuse anyone (even Obama) of saying something they did not say.

So I apologize.

And this just proves that my aging eyes really do need my glasses at all times, lol.

4. Obama has lost his damn mind...if he had it to begin with. "Rich Senator Clinton." He should talk.
He's made oodles of money pimping his family in his books.

But I honestly think Obama has a problem with women.

He refers to Sen. Clinton as "rich" but doesn't refer to McCain (who also criticized him) as "rich."

Does he have a problem with a woman having money?

“Here’s what’s rich. Senator Clinton said, ‘Well I don’t think people are bitter in Pennsylvania. I think Barack is being condescending,” Mr. Obama said. “John McCain said, ‘How could he say that? Notice the period between "rich" and "Senator"? Don't know what sort of journalist you are, but a period there means the word "rich" is not an adjective being applied to Senator Clinton. Pretty basic stuff.

From an online definition - Meaning - Informal. Highly amusing.

Your link has nothing to do with what you posted. And my Senator who supports Obama has stocks, bonds or fancy houses despite serving in the Senate for 34 years. Not everyone who supports Obama is rich- not even every Senator who supports him. You have no idea what Obama will be worth in 2024 or whether he'll pimp himself out like Bill.

He did not call Clinton "rich", as in wealthy. Here's what he said:

He used the term "rich" as in "get a load of this bullshit".

58. You know I'm really starting to believe that theres a serious
lack of reading skills going on in america such as reading comprehension ( you know reading the words and understanding what the writer is actually saying? ). On another forum some woman who married a guy who inherited a water well drilling business, says shes a self made woman independent of anyone and she worked hard to get into the water well business, my reaction? WTF. Anyhow she goes on these rants about how new EPA rules are driving the cost of drilling water wells up. So I checked out the EPA site to see what new rules they started on water wells, funny thing is, the EPA does not regulate private water wells in states, the EPA lets states regulate their own system, in michigan thats the DEQ. When I pointed that out to her, she made personal attacks on my SO's and mine sex life, even though my SO has never posted a thing to her and I don't talk about my sex life on line. Then she went on this rant about how SHE wrote the DEQ's water well regulations and the EPA is costing her customers more money to have a water well. I guess she couldn't comprehend the words "the EPA doesn't regulate private water wells". LOL
