Charlie Cook is one of the better "pundits" in DC. Interesting stuff, and not just because of what he says about Barack and Hillary:

In the House, the Cook Political Report is being pretty conservative, with a current forecast of a Democratic gain of five to 10 seats, but the chance of bigger gains is much greater than the chance of smaller gains.

At this point in time, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama has a 95-percent chance of winning the Democratic nomination. The window for New York Sen. I know that I'm not saying anything that you are unaware of, but the Clinton think tank, the dlc, has been disparaging Democratic, grassroots voters for years. They have been pushing us out (because we are informed) in favor of republican minded voters. Dean's--and Obama's--50 state strategy is a repudiation of the dlc's plan to form a democratic party that is nothing more than a socially softer version of the republican party.

especially in the US Senate. While it may be difficult, we need to shoot for 60. There are lots of weak Republican seats up for grabs this year, including Slick Gordo in Oregon. I'd love nothing more to have not one, but two US Senators that are Democrats.
