Experiencing some minor vibrations, Houston.

(Pretend that the 10 and 20 lines are actually 0. Does anyone know how to make Excel label different parts of the axis differently?)

4. Obama has 10 pt. lead with independents over McCain.
When the Rev. Wright thing hit, this had reversed. That is a good sign.

7. Yes! I noticed that. A good trend.
He doesn't have to leap ahead of McCain, this early on. He just needs to draw ahead steadily, as the Democrats unite around him.

10. Ha Ha. Told you so
This is the beginning of the end. He has peaked and his association with Wright has caught up with him. It is over now.

13. Remember that the margin of error in this poll is 3 percentage points
A change like today's doesn't mean anything. Wait for trends.
