they fit the occasion. If you follow the evolution of words, you will find that they are just words and they can't make you sick or kill you. Dirty words like "fuck" become acceptable when you say fornicate, but they mean the same thing. So "fuck" became unacceptable because it was the word used by the conquered Anglo-Saxons by the French speaking Normans. I found the same in Spanish wherein the unacceptable words were coopted from the conquered Native American's languages, which is why they change from country to country when you travel through South America. So when an ethnic group conquers another group the conquerors co-opt certain words in their language to use as vulgarities or insults. For this reason I just don't accept the concept of bad or dirty words.
