Edited on Tue Apr-08-08 08:59 AM by wndycty
. . .so that we NO ONE will move them to just to keep the race going.

I'm saying Hillary must win by 10pts or more. Who agrees with me?

1. 10 points - that's being generous...
She needs to win ALL the remaining races by 15 pts or more. Right now, it looks like she's going to lose NC by 20+ points and Oregon by 10+ points.

2. Now don't be looking to change the rules.
The Clinton camp has been moving the goal posts since before the beginning.

It isn't fair to ask them to stop doing it now.

3. No. Whatever we declare them to be, Hillary will move them so she "wins". (NT)

7. I'm not saying she should withdraw, I'm just saying that the pundits, talking heads. . .
. . .and DU "experts" should decide to today what is considered to be a "victory" for Hillary. Just one more vote or delegate should be considered a victory but it seems all the spinners want to define what the goal posts are, so why don't they locked themselves into something and stick to it.

13. So, you are now telling people what their opinions on that subject can or cannot be?
Screw that. She should have withdrawn weeks ago.

5. She has to win to keep going.
The exact margin doesn't matter as much. Of course, she needs every vote she can get to close the popular vote margin.

9. PA and NC are really the only two big states remaining
And an argument I'm hearing repeated is that if Obama can come close in PA and win big in NC...then the race would be over. How important would West Virginia really be with all of its 12 or 13 delegates? I also think if Obama can come very close in PA, it'll show the superdelegates that Obama didn't take much of a hit from the Wright controversy and the 50-60 that already favor him (according to Chuck Todd) will come out en masse like they were around March 4.

10. The only"goal post" is enough delegates to win the nomination.
End of story.

11. The goal posts have not moved
Its the math folks - she REALLY needs double digit wins in all primaries remaining to be viable. It doesn't matter what the HRC spin machine says - they can't re-write the Democratic primary rules and the Democratic party won't cave it they know it suicide for the party.

12. I think that she would have to win by at least
10% in PA in order to save face. Anything else is going to push away the SD.

15. She needs to win every race by an average of 30 points
65%-35%, just to tie up the pledged delegate count with Obama. Anything less than that and she just keeps losing ground.

16. Boy, you're REALLY behind ! Didn't you know? The goalposts are on their way to NC !
Surrogates have been saying and hinting for days now that "whoever wins NC will be the nominee".. and "she has to win in Obama's territory and Supers will see she's the best one for the GE."

PA already doesn't count. I don't think Obama will win PA, but he'll come close enough and inroad enough of the demographic that yes, NC and Indiana are now the new benchmarks.

Pretty soon, we're going to run out of real estate and the goalposts will need to float.

18. The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle...
The Clinton campaign has ensured that the goalposts will always be moving.

You must chose between knowing the their location and their momentum.

Until, of course, the Democratic party wises up and takes the following course of action...
