Are some of you actually willing to allow Roe v Wade to be OVERTURNED if your preferred candidate doesn't win? Make no mistake about it, if McCain wins, that is EXACTLY what will happen. We've already seen the SCOTUS tilt dangerously to the right under *'s reign. McCain could very easily send it tipping over. And once that happens, we cannot undo it. Once McCain starts making his appointments, the SCOTUS will be firmly entrenched for quite some time. Are you willing to allow this to happen just to spite the other candidate?

1. Cons will NEVER overturn Roe v. Wade. They would lose their major...
...fundraising gimmick if they did. They would also alienate more than half of the country, which is another thing they will never do.

So, if you're going to use a scare tactic, try to find one that is actually a possibility. You might as well threaten us with "Godzilla will conquer America" as "Conservatives will turn back Roe v. Wade. Neither one has a high likelihood of happening.

Overturning Roe v. Wade

John McCain believes Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision that must be overturned, and as president he will nominate judges who understand that courts should not be in the business of legislating from the bench. Constitutional balance would be restored by the reversal of Roe v. Wade, returning the abortion question to the individual states. The difficult issue of abortion should not be decided by judicial fiat.

McCain says Roe v. Wade should be overturned
updated 10:35 p.m. CT, Sun., Feb. 18, 2007
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Republican presidential candidate John McCain, looking to improve his standing with the party’s conservative voters, said Sunday the court decision that legalized abortion should be overturned.

“I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned,” the Arizona senator told about 800 people in South Carolina, one of the early voting states.

Just google John McCain and Roe vs. Wade and see how many articles you get.
