2. I think Shisenki was fired, wasn't he? He was the general
who said we'd need a couple hundred thousand troops in Iraq to do the job right. I thought they fired him and ruined his career.

10. Add
Neal McCaleb, Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs, Department of the Interior

Sharon Blackwell, Deputy Commissioner for Indian Affairs, Department of the Interior

Jim McDivitt, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Department of the Interior

Tom Slonaker, Special Trustee, Office of the Special Trustee (Indian Trust Fund), Department of the Interior

Tommy Thompson, #2 guy at the Office of the Special Trustee (Indian Trust Fund), Department of the Interior

Ken Rossman, director of the Indian trust fund records office, Department of the Interior

There is a significant chance that some or all of the above retirements and resignations were related to the disappearance of somewhere between two and 100 billion dollars from the Indian Trust Fund over the past 140 years. This was not federal money; it was funds held in trust by the federal government for the poorest segment of America's population, American Indians.

Court-appointed Special Master Alan Balaran also resigned two months ago, citing stonewalling by the Department of the Interior. While the fault is spread evenly over every administration from Grant to Clinton, the Bush Administration is now actively trying to "disappear" the problem itself.
