10. It's a fair question.
Don't understand why it was deleted.

If you think the Democratic Party doesn't have any dumb votes, well I think you're wrong.

Better yet, how do you expect to attract Republican voters by calling them dumb?

3. Kerry needs to dumb down his speeches.
Making constituents string together a logical argument is not going to help him. Using if A=B and B=C and C=D then A=D is too much for Americans - Bush uses A is D and we should bomb it or reduce its taxes or increase its funding.

It's simple and even Americans can understand it. We love to be told how/what to think. Kerry expects us to think for ourselves. Therefore, Kerry is bad.

4. White males aren't all dumb.
However, they've been seeing their wages fall since the early 1970s, and the Democrats have consistently failed to address this fact and offer any hope that it will ever be reversed.

Bush teased them with a tax cut. Gore offered them nothing but more of the business as usual that had bene driving their pay down. If Kerry fails to address the economic class warfare being waged against working people, especially the men, then he may find himself close enough in numbers for Bush to steal the election once again.

5. Please - the welfare states are "red" - so we say "red state voters"
Can Kerry target those who live off of taxes paid in Blue states and sent via the Federal Gov to Red States to allow the red states to give tax holidays to businesses and the rich, and to keep their "business" population happy with government contracts they otherwise could not afford.

It is not easy talking to some folk that take a welfare check via the Fed Tax and State/Fed programs - and then like to dump on those whose welfare check is not quite as well protected from being cut back.

Indeed, the red state welfare types love of the rich and corporate - so as to beg for jobs - is rather sad.

6. Would Kerry want to target the stupid? How about racists?
I say let Bush have everyone who refuses to grow a brain. And if that comprises the majority of the people in this country, then maybe we deserve having lunatics like Ashcroft wipe their ass with the Constitution.

7. Yes, and he can get AWKWARD VOTERS
Hear me out here: Junior is the patron saint of the stupid, and as such, is a perfect fit in the anti-intellectual commonness of this country. His claim that "even a C-student can become President" swamps us with the inherent lie that he wasn't propped up and coddled by the aristocracy to be where he is, but to others, he is a shining beacon of averageness. Forrest Gump won Best Picture, and Reagan was elected twice; that's just about all you need to know about presidential politics. (The rest is charisma and good hair.)

To all the dim who've been taunted all their lives, Junior is proof that their true hearts is what's of greatest import. Never slag his stupidity if you want to change minds. As such, the stupid vote will tend a bit toward him. All is not lost, though, for these reasons: many of the simple arguments work well for Democrats: the economy, social programs, crazy imperialism and even to a small degree the environment.

The big ace in the hole for Kerry is his awkwardness. He could be the patron saint of the clunky and wooden just as Junior is to the stupid. I'm not joking about this: many people dislike the slick and beautiful, and want to think that the goodness of heart that they possess is given short shrift by whatever flaw drives their awkwardness. Kerry could be the non-slick hero, and this may be a great asset. The problem is getting people to see it.

Kerry has a sad, world-weary look, yet an optimistic and tough presentation. This just smacks of integrity, and no matter how he's derided for various things, there's something palpably real about the man, for all his "aloofness" or "awkwardness". His smile is a fabulous contrast to his otherwise hangdog look, and it shows that he's a man who rolls up his sleeves and works. The fact that he admits his privilege should also play well, and will contrast with the fact that Junior distances himself from his.

Play the awkwardness, and many will feel a kindred soul.

9. He gets people who think he is just like them
people who don't see the gray, only black and white, who don't read and investigate things for themselves, only take O'Reilly's and Rush's, etc. word for everything....
