DUers in the "other" 30 states
If your state is heavy red or blue, we need you desperately in the battleground states. I would request/suggest that you pick one of the states, sign up, and do your good things there.

For example, my former home state of Missouri. We have a good chance to beat Senator Bond this time around. Democrats have put up an excellent candidate in Nancy Farmer. Also the Governors chair needs protecting from Blount. He is another of the Danforth/Bond/Ashcroft right wing bunch.

You are well aware of Bond/Ashcroft. But remember Danforth as the Senator who gave us Clarence Thomas. Enough said.

Any contributions, letter writing, etc. will be much appreciated by the Democrats who have voted for the winning Presidential candidate every year since 1900 except for 1956 when they supported Adlia Stevenson of Illinois.

I am interested to know if NH is considered one, for example, because it is nearby for me and I would consider doing something....I know NH squeaked barely by for Bush in the 2000 election if I remember correctly.

2. I don't know
I think it's more important to be really involved locally with your own government. The Republicans have made most of their gains by working fundamentalists in the system from the school boards on up. But I'll soon be moving to a Republican majority area and I really want to make a difference there.
